Ticket Progress Bar, Patch

Little Man Walking Progress Bar – by Kryslin (Kaiju) Starr Originally from the infamous TicketFly ticketing portal, this animated progress bar became a symbol of hope, dread, and shared suffering during the Burning Man Main Ticket Sale. Burners would stare anxiously as the little man inched his way forward—step by agonizing step—toward the promise of tickets. But more often than not, just before he reached the finish line, the screen would flash that dreaded message: “All tickets are sold out.” A test of patience and heartbreak, the Little Man Walking became a bittersweet icon of the Burn.

Kryslin (Kaiju) Starr is a veteran Burner and has been accredited in making some of the most iconic pendants of the Playa. She is known for making several outstanding pieces each year. Her work is featured in Museums including the 2018 exhibit No Spectators, The Art of Burning Man at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in Washington D.C.
