Hawk and Winter were inspired by Hawk’s sketches of the Black Rock City that he made at his first burn in 1999 and they then designed abstract versions of the city.

Their work were featured in Museums including the 2018 exhibit No Spectators, The Art of Burning Man at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in Washington D.C. and is published in Karen (Suki) Christians, Christine (Lady Bee) Kristen book, Jewelry of Burning Man. p84,85
