Brenda Stemwell writes, “Early in 1980’s my husband and I decided to do yearly 4 day river floats down the Colorado river. As we got older it was harder and harder to do the trip as we had to still do all the food and get people to help assemble the raft at the top of the river where we started our 4 day journey.
The last trip was my son and a bunch of his college buddies and we had a blast. Well they all decided we need to call this the last trip and take the raft to the burn for their DJ stage.
They named our camp BS Booze Cruz because we would call the river trip a beer float, and BS is both my husband and my initials.
So several decades we are calling it quits for the river trips and it’s going to be at Burning Man for our camp if we get placed this year.”
