As a NY based arts collective, Kostume Kult has always been a beacon of burner values and NYC gumption. With a first draft on last year’s “Burn Free” NYC Halloween Parade float, this idea springs from the foundational values of our community and country.
The original Statue of Liberty is giant steel construction skinned in hammered copper sheets (the thickness of only two pennies!) whose torch (replaced in 1986 during its centennial restoration) has a copper flame covered in 24K gold. Just like ours! 😉”
