Long Fang, 2024 Pendant by Shannon Shiang.

Shannon writes, “This pendant was a collaboration with Javier Uma Creuheras, the creator of the Long Fang art car. The pendant represents the weaving of masculine and feminine with the symbols of the dragon scale and the feathers of the Phoenix. The pearl at the top represents the center of consciousness from where the man stand. The center is our home.”

Master Jeweler Shannon Shiang is one of the most important and iconic Makers of the Playa. A veteran of many years, she celebrates each Burning Man with a limited edition pendant that only a master jeweler can produce.  Her work is featured in Museums including the 2018 exhibit No Spectators, The Art of Burning Man at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in Washington D.C. and is published in Karen Christians Jewelry of Burning Man. p71, 77, 78.
