PlayaSkool 2012 Pendant

PlayaSkool, 2012 Pendant by Shannon Shiang and Jon La Grace.
A limited edition bronze casted pendant.

Jewelry designer Shannon Shiang is one of the most recognized and influential makers in the history of Burning Man jewelry. A longtime participant in Black Rock City, she has established an enduring tradition of creating a limited-edition pendant and pin for each Burn, with every design capturing the unique spirit, symbolism, and story of that year’s event. Her annual releases have become highly anticipated by collectors and are treasured as lasting mementos of the Playa experience.

Shiang’s work has been exhibited in major museum collections and exhibitions, including the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C., as part of the landmark 2018 exhibition No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man. Her jewelry is also featured in Karen Christians’ Jewelry of Burning Man (pp. 71, 77, 78), further documenting her significant contribution to the artistic legacy of Burning Man.
