JK Realms of Profiles in dust and Kam Kru writes, “I helped form Profiles in Dust back around 2012 and, as the primary documentary editor, have most of the things we hand out each year.
Profiles in Dust is a volunteer media team of just a few filmmakers, mostly camera operators.
We have made over 50 documentaries about BM since 2012, and we release them as gifts to the community. In a way, Profiles in Dust and Playa Makers do similar things… we help preserve, archive, and share the memories of Burning Man. Each year, we hand out at least one new sticker design. We also hand out magnets and T-shirts. Profiles in Dust needed a place to have meetings during the event so, years ago, we created Kam Kru Kool Kamp. Nowadays, we just call it “Kam Kru”.”
