Bryan writes, “As a volunteer at the Burning Man Airport (88NV), I have the pleasure of welcoming Burners who arrive by plane. Modeled after the “pilot wings” the airlines used to give out to kids, I laser cut my own Burning Man wings and glued a safety pin on the back. I had a Sharpie on hand to write the Playa Name for the recipient. I laser engraved the names of other volunteers and pilots that I already knew. The other piece is a plane with the Man as the propeller that spins. “Fly Dusty” is the motto of the airport.”
