Commissioned by Ty Eckley for the Wagon Masters Award. A prestigious hand crafted award to those who have outstanding service to the Burning Man community.

The award embodies the theme of the maritime with a Staff Anchor, Pearls, Mermaids and Seaweed with Roman inspired finials transitioning to the gold and white ribbon necklace. The beautiful, nearly flawless 20.85k Pear Shape Citoz Citrine gem stone has a flickering LED Candle light underneath symbolizing a flame of passion. The smaller Citrine gem stones and Sea Pearls symbolize bubbles.

Cast in Gold Bronze weighting in at 7.8oz with 11 Cultured Seas Pearls, 2mm Citrine Gemstones, and 1.5mm Citrine Gemstones. The special Candle LED provided the lighting flame effect. The handmade Jewelry Box by Paul Delathauwer is made from a single piece of American Black Walnut and dates back to c1870’s. It is lined with Royal Purple crushed velvet and a hidden plaque printed on gold parchment paper, detailing the piece. On the inner lid there are 3 brass pressings from the early 1900’s and the fish have Sea Pearls in their tails.
Paul Delathauwer’s work is featured in several museums including the 2018 exhibit No Spectators at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in Washington D.C. He designs original art for Burning Man including installations, pendants, pins, patches and awards.
