Unbound
Unbound 2022, Pendant by Tzipora Hoynik.
The Installation: “Unbound: A Library in Transition” (2022)
- The Concept: Created by artist Julia Nelson-Gal and her crew, Unbound was a large-scale structure modeled after the New York Public Library.
- The Materials: It served as a temple to human thought, built using over 3,000 deconstructed book pages and covers.
- The Legacy: Instead of burning on the playa, the piece was preserved. The artist continues to tour and repurpose portions of it into an ongoing mixed-media assemblage series titled Aftermath
