“I wanted to create something special for Waking Dreams Theme that could be associated with our camp Dragon Heights. This was my favorite gift to hand out to everyone on the playa this year. The title says phoenix, and I would like to provide my artistic input on that. The Idea was that living on the playa was experiencing a deep connection to the dream and becoming what could only be limited by the imagination. This shows the effigy channeling that dream energy to manifest a dragon that splits the veil of reality and the dream allowing both to coexist, much like all burners coexist on the playa. I’m happy to see this in the collection, and hope that everyone that received this gift on the playa was able to experience a part of the magic that we dragons bring.”
