Rebirth, 2015 by Carrie Warlaumont.
Infused Playa dust in the glass makes this a special relic to be treasured.
Carrie writes, “I had these pendants made by a glass blower in Bend, Oregon that does memorial pendants. He was willing to try using playa dust for me. I wanted to have something special made to commemorate my first burn and to also give as a thank you gift to the person who took me. The spiral you see inside the pendant is playa dust. I chose a clear pendant with the spiral because of it’s symbolism of letting go and of a journey. Both of which I was in the deep throws of. It also visually represented, for me, the dust spirals we see on the playa. The beads are from a beautiful little shop in Portland. When we first were drawn to these particular beads, we had no idea that they changed colors, but were delightfully surprised when we discovered that they did. Just seemed rather fitting for a pendant that was born from the playa.”
