Trash Fence Projection Pendant, 2025 Pendant by Joel (Sargent Pepper) Briggs and Matt Kane
This amazing pendant has the unique perspective of looking through the iconic Trash Fence. The unique feature is a safety orange trash fence overlay and the relief of the beautiful mountains of the Black Rock Desert in the background
Matt writes, “I’ve been so fortunate to work with the AMAZING Joel Briggs / Sgt Pepper (who did design and fabrication and is amazing) for the last few months to make the pendant come to life. Of course, Joel said we should outdo last year in a big way – so there is a projection orb in the center with four BRC related pictures (and a special 5th one) that when you shine a light through (or look through with light behind it) at certain angles reveal the different reminders of BRC. Joel has used similar projection orbs before and they’re always stunning. Iconography of this year’s theme and lots more on the front. BM 10 Principle icons & more on back.
Two-step pendant design. The two-tone plating is silver and copper plating. Underneath is made from a zinc alloy free of nickel and lead with a protective coat been applied to keep the shine and ensure no metal contact with the skin.
Joel (Sargent Pepper) Briggs is one of the Playas most prolific and artistic makers. Each year he pushes the his concepts past the boundaries in both in material and production methods.
