Michael Heneghan Originally from Chicago, inspired by my artistic Mother, I have always enjoyed drawing, photography and graphic design.Moved to L.A. in 1990, I first heard about Burning Man in 1997, hooked on first Burn ’98, participated 21 straight years 1998-2018 and then 2022-24.Once I finally got to Black Rock City, I found the incredible party that I expected, but what I didn’t anticipate was how I’d be inspired creatively by the amazing art and ideas. Well, I did have the intuition to create 50 laminated Playa Passes which turned out to be a big hit. They have evolved, and I’ve made them every year since. In the year 2000 I made my first stickers, and in 2016 the first of my BM bottle cap pendants. I attempted a golf cart mutant vehicle in 2002 with limited success. In 2012 I first displayed 5×7 prints of my PlayaPass collection on one of the free art boards in Center Camp, and returned to do it again almost every year, up until 2022. I look forward to many more future creations and the Burns that make them possible.
